The Candy Mix Zinnia is a playful, vibrant blend of scabiosa-type blooms in cheerful shades of scarlet, raspberry, rose, salmon, tangerine, gold, cream, and white. These 2- to 3-inch-wide flowers resemble miniature gerbera daisies or double-flowered echinaceas, featuring a dense pompon of short petals surrounded by a delicate skirt of longer, daisy-like petals. With a higher percentage of double flowers, this improved mix ensures a stunning display of texture and color all summer long. Butterflies flock to the bright, sturdy blooms, making this variety a must-have for pollinator-friendly gardens and cutting gardens alike.
Growing to 20-24 inches tall, Candy Mix Zinnias are well-branched and long-blooming, producing an abundance of cut-worthy stems with excellent disease resistance. This "cut-and-come-again" annual continuously sets new buds as spent flowers are removed, guaranteeing a steady stream of fresh blooms from summer through fall. In hot climates, expect more single flowers early in the season and an increase in scabiosa-type doubles as temperatures cool. For best results, plant in full sun with well-drained, moderately moist soil. Whether for borders, bouquets, or butterfly gardens, Candy Mix Zinnia is an easy-to-grow, show-stopping addition to any summer landscape
