Details

Also known as Golden Warted Hubbard and Red Hubbard, this squash was introduced in 1898. It is excellent for cooking, canning, freezing and its original use for the production of baby food. The 8-14 lb. red fruit are teardrop-shaped, brilliant red and lightly warted, making this the most beautiful of the hubbard types. The flesh is very thick, sweet and orange with a fine old-fashioned squash flavor. This is an excellent variety for fall decorations as well as eating. Additionally, it is a great keeper.
