Details

As one of the most visually appealing tomatoes cultivated today, the Thai Pink Egg boasts smooth, pink-red skin and an egg-like shape, distinguishing it from standard tomatoes with its plum-like form, thicker skin, and higher sugar content. Popularized internationally after Nichols Garden Nursery in the USA began offering it in 1997, its beautiful and delicious fruits have since gained popularity worldwide, featured in farmers' markets and gourmet restaurants alike. In Thailand, where it originated, it's referred to as "Kanchanaburi," a nod to both a local province and this cherished variety's local name, underscoring its cultural and culinary significance.
