These small to medium sized red plums have a very good flavor and are one of the best paste tomatoes available for hot climates. Rio Grande tomatoes have thick walls, are meaty, and are great for canning. They are perfect for salads, salsas, and making sauces, puree, paste and tomato juice. An excellent processing variety. Very productive.
