Introduced by Dr. James Baggett at Oregon State University. Legend yields early-bearing, 8 to 16 oz., 3-5”, smooth, round, blemish-free, red tomatoes. They have wonderful, delicious sweet flavors that are balanced well with just the right amount of acidity. Legend generally sets fruit earlier than other tomatoes, and sets fairly well even under the cooler growing conditions. Since Legend is meaty with very few seeds, it is a great salad, slicing and canning tomato.
