Bred by Brad Gates using an original cross made by PKS Heirlooms in Copemish, MI. Indigo Apple has a delicious, sweet tomato flavor, with deep purple shoulders which is caused by high anthocyanin (an antioxidant) that is also found in blueberries. Resists cracking and sun scald with some resistance to late blight.
