Details
These large, robust beefsteak tomatoes weigh an average of 10 to 12 ounces. The unblemished fruits have a beautiful dusky, dark purple coloring. Vines are sprawling and can reach 4 to 6 feet. Flavor is complex with a rich, sweet, and tangy profile. This plant is a hybrid cross between two heirloom taste-test winners, Cherokee Purple and Carbon. Cherokee Carbon tends to produce more fruit than either of its parents. The resilient indeterminate tomato plants will continue to grow and set fruit all season long. Originally a hybrid, these seeds were saved from the F1 hybrid grow-out and are considered an unstable F2 variety.
