Details

A rare Italian heirloom, taking it's name from the town of Belmonte, Italy where this variety originated. These red tomatoes are real beauties. Most are fluted/ruffled and no two look quite the same. These are very juicy tomatoes that produce very few seeds (the major reason they are rare!). The flavor is mild but quite good. An amazingly productive variety that, with proper care, could produce 25+ tomatoes per plant, each weighing 1 to 2 lbs. or more!
