The Dwarf Strawberry Lemonade Tomato is a recent and stunning variety from the innovative Dwarf Tomato Project, introduced in 2022. Belonging to the "Fancy" family, it originated from a cross made by Sherry Long between a selection from the Sunny Family and the indeterminate 'Orange Pear' variety. The variety was further refined and named by Susan Oliverson, with contributions from Dee Sackett, Craig LeHoullier, Bill Minkey, and the Duntons.
This dwarf tomato variety grows to an average height of about 100 cm (3 feet), making it ideal for containers or small garden spaces. The plants feature dark green, rugose, regular leaf foliage and produce an abundance of medium to large oblate fruits weighing 8 to 14 ounces. The fruits are a gorgeous crimson pink, smooth and meaty, with a mild, well-balanced, and delightful flavor.
Perfect as a slicing tomato, the Dwarf Strawberry Lemonade Tomato is especially appealing to fans of pink-fruited heirlooms who appreciate sweet and juicy tomatoes with excellent texture. Whether you’re growing them for their beauty, flavor, or compact habit, this variety is a standout addition to any tomato collection.
