Details
This family heirloom from Cameroon, Africa was provided to Carolyn Male by Heidi Iyok, one of Dr. Male’s students who was originally from Cameroon. This very productive paste variety produces plum-shaped, red, meaty 2-3 oz. tomatoes. Heidi has an excellent, full, rich flavor that is wonderful in sauces or canning. Surprisingly for a paste tomato, it doesn’t seem to have issues with blossom end rot.
