Details
This West Virginia heirloom was one of the parent lines for another cherished heirloom: the legendary Mortgage Lifter. The large, lobed fruits weigh 7-16 oz. and are deep pink. The plants are very productive; the superb quality fruits are great for farmers' markets or home gardens. German Johnson has an excellent flavor and is a favorite variety for slicing or canning. Thrives in hot, humid areas.
