Ananas Noire is French for Black Pineapple. This tomato appeared in a Pineapple tomato patch and was developed and stabilized by Pascal Moreau, a horticulturist in Belgium. Ananas Noire is a heavy yielder of 1 to 1½ lb. tomatoes. The skin has shades of green, purple, orange, and yellow. The flesh is bright green with deep red streaks. Their superb flavor is outstanding, being both sweet and smoky with a hint of citrus.
