Details
Rhubarb’s thick stalks are popular for making delicious pies, cobblers and preserves. Rhubarb from seed can be harvested starting as soon as the second season and is very productive. For the average family, three plants will be enough. The plants are long-lived and can be propagated by dividing mature plant crowns. A perennial vegetable!
Caution: Do not eat the leaves as they contain poisonous oxalic acid.
