Mild Heat (50-200 SHU). A favorite old Japanese variety which is perfect for making tempura and other traditional recipes. Thin walls blister and char easily when roasted or grilled, taking on rich flavor that is delicious with coarse salt and lemon juice. They are mild, with about 1 out of every 10 peppers being spicy. Superb, and the standard with many chefs.
