Also known as the Penis Pepper and even Chili Willy. The Yellow Peter pepper is close kinfolk to the original strain of Red Peter out of Eastern Tennessee. It was first popularized in the United States by Frank X. Tolbert in the 1950's. The Yellow Peter has a milder, mellow flavor that is not quite as spicy compared to the Red Peter Pepper. This 'brother' produces many realistically shaped pods. However, as in any pepper, pod shapes do vary. Despite the novelty, the Yellow Peter pepper is actually a great tasting pepper for salsas and cooking. They have citrus fruity flavor tones and are very productive! Peppers are approximately 3 to 4" long, and 1 to 1.5" wide when fully mature. Non-Isolated.
