Hot! (30,000 - 50,000 SHU). Rare variety from Virgil T. Ainsworth of Laurel, Mississippi. Grown in his family for more than 100 years. Two-inch long, tapered, fire engine red peppers. Traditionally used to make Rooster Pepper Sausage. Also excellent dried and ground for chili powder.
