30,000-50,000 SHU. This heirloom chili, related to the Habanero, matures quickly and produces uniquely shaped, mushroom-like peppers, giving it its name. The Red Mushroom plants are compact, reaching 2-3 ft. in height, making them perfect for both garden and container cultivation. With fruits about the size of a golf ball, or 2-3 inches in diameter, they develop into a distinctive mushroom or patty pan shape with shiny, smooth skin, and transition from green to red upon ripening. Known for its extremely tasty, fruity, and spicy flavor, the Red Mushroom's thin-walled fruit dries quickly, making it ideal for creating an intensely spicy chili powder. Whether used for garnishes, pickling, or drying, these peppers are versatile in the kitchen. Additionally, their ease of growth in containers makes them a superb choice for small gardens, thriving in tropical climates yet adaptable to grow almost anywhere, adding a vibrant and spicy kick to any dish. Non-isolated.
