10,000 - 20,000 SHU. The Rattlesnake Green Chile is an exciting new addition to the Hatch Green Chile family, celebrated for its bold heat and rich flavor. Developed by the experts at Solar Dry Chile Farm in Hatch, New Mexico, this variety combines the signature quality of Hatch chiles with an extra kick of spice. The peppers range from 4 to 8 inches in length, with thick, meaty flesh, making them perfect for a variety of culinary uses.
The Rattlesnake Chile is a prolific producer, growing on sturdy plants that reach up to 30 inches tall. With a Scoville heat rating that typically hovers around 10,000 SHU but can spike as high as 18,000 SHU, these peppers offer a flavorful heat that’s not overwhelming. Their robust, smoky heat and thick flesh make them ideal for salsas, sauces, or as the star ingredient in stuffed pepper dishes. Non-Isolated.
