Details
Horehound’s dried leaves are used in teas, desserts, and baking whereas the fresh leaves are best for making candies and lozenges for coughs and sore throats. Mounds of silvery foliage, around 18 inches tall and somewhat broader, last all season long in most climates. Horehound’s white flowers are pretty and attract bees, but aren’t really showy. The plants thrive in dry, poor soil.
