Also known as Kaprao in Thailand and Tulsi in India. A popular herb in Thai cuisine, the fragrant leaves can be used in potpourri and have a spicy, sweet, clove-like flavor. Plant produces good yields of slender basil leaves that have a musky scent with a hint of mint. In Hinduism, Tulsi is worshipped as a goddess and every part of the Tulsi plant is revered and considered sacred, including the leaves, stem, flower, root, seeds and oil. Medicinally used for digestive disorders.
