Details

Gladiolus ‘Boone’ is a hybrid that produces an abundance of seeds. Rather than letting these seeds go to waste, we cleaned them and made them available for purchase. It is unknown what bloom color seeds from ‘Boone’ will produce, but they will be a pleasant surprise!

Gladiolus ‘Boone’ was discovered in the frigid mountain town of Boone, NC, by extension agent Jeff Owen. The 4' tall stalks open in early June with medium-sized flowers of peachy-apricot, highlighted by a yellow center and red streaked throat. Very attractive to hummingbirds. This hardy gladiolus can survive zone 5 winters. Multiplies quickly!
