Known natively to the Pacific Coast and as Blue Head or Blue Field Gilia, it thrives from Mexico to Alaska and can adapt to full sun or partial shade. Drought-tolerant and versatile in soil type, this unique and lovely wildflower, native to Western North America, blooms with light blue flowers atop tall stems, making it a distinctive addition to wildflower or ornamental gardens.
