Details

The Bundaberg Rumball Tomato is a standout variety from the esteemed Dwarf Tomato Project, combining exceptional flavor with a compact growing habit. This dwarf, determinate tomato was developed from a cross between 'Black from Tula' and 'Budai Torpe,' crafted by Patrina Nuske Small and Richard Allen, who also named it after the Queensland town in Australia famed for its rum. Introduced in 2015, this robust yet relatively small plant is perfect for gardeners seeking beauty, productivity, and versatility.

Growing to just 3 feet tall, the Bundaberg Rumball is a vigorous and early-season producer, yielding an abundance of medium to medium-small (2-3 ounce) round fruits with a stunning chocolate-red hue. The fruits are not only visually striking but also deliver a delightful, balanced, and sweet flavor with rich undertones. The firm, rugose-leafed plants are as attractive as they are productive, making them ideal for smaller spaces or container gardening.
