150,000 - 400,000 SHU. The Hot Paper Lantern Pepper is a must-try for anyone who loves super-hot peppers, especially those in northern climates. Bred by Janika Eckert, this unique habanero variety is earlier to mature and more productive than traditional habanero, making it an excellent choice for short growing seasons. These USDA Certified Organic peppers originate from Peru and bring a fiery flair to your garden and kitchen.
The plants are relatively compact, reaching about 2 feet tall, yet they yield an impressive crop of elongated, wrinkled, lantern-shaped fruits that grow 2-4 inches long. Starting as lime green, the peppers ripen through a glowing orange stage before reaching their signature bright orange-red hue. Their thin skin and pendant shape make them perfect for drying but handle them with care when harvesting to avoid damaging the delicate stems. Non-Isolated.
