Details

5,000-30,000 SHU. The Fish Pepper is celebrated for its beauty and uniqueness, marking it as a must-grow variety for pepper enthusiasts and a prized heirloom African variety predating the 1870s. It was traditionally used to season fish and shellfish in African-American communities, with fruits that start green with white stripes and shades of orange. Released to the public by William Woys Weaver in 1995, Fish Pepper plants are known for their high productivity and the brilliant colors of their fruits, which make them both an excellent culinary ingredient and an ornamental delight.
