Also known as “Little Beak Peppers” resembling a pointy bird’s beak and “Sweetie Drops” in Gourmet stores when sold pickled. The name Biquinho means “Little Kiss”. The other name by locals is “Chupetinho” first discovered in the Amazon Jungles of Peru they are now marketed fresh and pickled throughout Brazil and Peru The small, pointed fruits have a unique, sweet, slightly tart flavor with a tiny bit of heat. They may be eaten raw or cooked, but are generally pickled in vinegar and served as an appetizer. Can also be used fresh or tossed on pizzas. Fruits turn from very pale green to red. Quite popular in Brazil, where they originated. Non-Isolated.
