Details
This yellow ground cherry has a flavor that is sweet, fruity, and really does remind you of a pineapple. The short spreading vines produce abundantly. The ½”-¾” fruits are enclosed in brown papery husks that drop to the ground when fully ripe. Excellent for preserves, hot dessert toppings, salads or mock pineapple yogurt. Makes a unique and wonderful salsa. Stores 3-4 weeks in the husk.
