Rattlesnake produces plenty of 7-8” green pods that have beautiful purple streaks. They have a good flavor and the young pods are very tender. It is also good as a dry bean, being hearty and flavorful, and is popular in soups and stews! Great for hot, humid areas as well as cooler climates like here in Michigan. Very unique and eye-catching at the farmers’ markets!
