Details
Also known as Giant Knapweed, Yellow Globe Centaurea, Armenian Basket Flower, and Lemon Fluff Knapweed. Enormous brown buds open into spectacular, 3-4 in. golden-yellow, thistle-like flowers in midsummer. Blooms attract butterflies and are superb in fresh or dried arrangements. Plants grow 3-4 ft. tall.
Armenian Basket Flower is grown in perennial borders, and is tough enough to thrive on its own in hard to reach areas of the garden. Established plants are drought resistant and almost indestructible, living up to 15 or more years with minimum care. Self sows.
