Details

This easy to grow, first year flowering perennial has sword-shaped, iris-like leaves and beautiful 2 inch, freckled golden-orange flowers. It is native to China and Japan, but naturalizes easily here in North America. After blooming, shiny black seed clusters that resemble blackberries appear. Both flowers and seed clusters are superb for cutting. Blooms over a long period in August and September.
