Details

The Monkey Flower, with its shades of lilac, pinks, oranges, and bright blue/purple blooms, is highly recommended for home landscaping, offering a vibrant addition to gardens. This unique flower thrives in moist soil but is adaptable to various conditions. The Eastern Monkeyflower, in particular, flourishes in wet ground and sunny spots, making it a perennial favorite that is bee-friendly, attracts butterflies, resists deer, and requires low maintenance. With a long bloom time and the ability to naturalize, the plant's common name derives from its blooms' resemblance to a monkey's face. Typically found in wetlands, it requires consistently moist soils and will gradually spread, becoming a bushy and attractive feature in any landscape setting.
