Details

The soft stems of this native rush were once used by Native Americans for fine weaving courses. It grows in the cool seasons and gets quite tall by the time summer arrives. Waterfowl like to feast on the ripened seed heads.

Dark-green Bulrush will form clumps from rhizomes and fibrous roots in the wettest of soils. Will tolerate water depths of 1' or more. It is a good choice for a lakeshore restoration, pond construction or rain garden.
