Details
Also known as the Grey Headed Coneflower and Upright Prairie Coneflower. Mexican Hats are native to North America and resemble sombreros! This drought tolerant wildflower makes an excellent cut flower for summer gardens. Petals range from dark red and yellow, to all red or all yellow. The leaves and flower heads were used by Cheyenne Indians for a variety of medicinal purposes. Mexican Hats bloom most of the summer and attract bees and butterflies. Birds love the seeds.
