Also known as Kenilworth Ivy, Climbing Sailor, Coliseum Ivy, and Devil's Rib. makes a wonderful, extremely low to the ground, forms a very dense carpet of succulent-looking, rounded, scalloped, medium-green leaves on purplish, trailing stems, and Ivy-Leaved Toadflax blooms all summer long with small, snapdragon-like, lilac flowers that contrast beautifully with evergreen foliage. Although a half-hardy perennial, this plant is often grown as a half-hardy annual. trailing ground cover, and this excellent climbing plant looks fabulous growing in walls cracks and cascading over rockeries in rock gardens. Other garden uses of Coliseum Ivy include container planting, hanging baskets, and planting between flagstones, and on top of that Kenilworth Ivy can be grown as a houseplant.
