Also known as cornflowers. Brought to America from Europe in the 17th century, and known to have been cultivated by Thomas Jefferson in his gardens at Monticello. Exquisite, fragrant, 1-2” well-doubled blue flowers bloom non-stop from midsummer to frost and are drought-tolerant. Bachelor’s Buttons are perfect for cutting and drying, and they make a great addition to any cottage garden, wildflower meadow, or border. The edible flower makes a stunning garnish for desserts and salads.
