Introduced by Sakata Seed Corp. of Yokohama, Japan, in 1976. Sweet Dumpling has a delicious flavor and beautiful exterior, making it both edible and ornamental. Small, 4-5”, ribbed fruits have creamy white skin splashed with green speckles and stripes. The yellow-orange flesh is very sweet and dry. Ideal for baking and roasting, squash can also be stuffed or used in soups, pies, and muffins. Stores for 3-4 months after harvest. Each vine yields 6-10 squash.
