Details
Daikon is a Japanese word meaning 'large root'. This very popular green-necked radish will grow from 6-20” long. The crisp, firm flesh is pure white and is milder compared to other radishes. It is rich in vitamin C, potassium and folate, and is a good source of magnesium. The leaves contain beta-carotene, calcium and iron besides vitamin C. Daikons are perfect in salads and for pickling.
