This heirloom, All-America Selections winner from 1935 is still around because it is simply one of the best! Vigorous vines produce very straight, crisp cucumbers about 8" long, hence their name, Straight 8. This slicing cucumber has long been prized for its high quality, flavor, adaptability, and deep green color. This great, dependable home garden variety can be used for pickling when small or for slicing. Once picked, immediately immerse in cold water to disperse “field heat”; this increases quality and life of picked fruit.
