Serrano peppers are hot and pungent with a distinctive flavor. These peppers originated in the Mexican states of Puebla and Hidalgo and are about 5 times hotter than a jalapeno pepper. The name of the pepper is a reference to the mountains (sierras) of these regions. 

Add crushed peppers to stews, salsas, hot sauces, soups, casseroles, and more!
