Details
Sweet Autumn features 1” star-shaped, white, fragrant flowers. This clematis is an unusually late, prolific bloomer. If you need screening along a high fence, or have an arbor as a gateway to your garden, these are the seeds you need. Cut the plants back to about 12” from the ground in late fall once they finish blooming, or in early spring. The vines will re-grow quickly every year and can reach up to 30’. Sweet Autumn blooms on the current year's growth, and unlike many Clematis vines, it will thrive and bloom well in partial shade. Plants are unlikely to bloom the first year from seed, but expect them to begin blooming the second year.
