Details
The Late Flat Dutch cabbage has flat globes up to 12" across and weighs on an average of 12 pounds. Introduced here in the US around the 1860s, the cabbage heads are pale green with a sweet, mild flavor. The Late Flat Dutch head has tightly wrapped leaves making it great for storing. It has an excellent flavor and keeps very well for processing. We make tons of sauerkraut out of it. Just one head will easily fill several jars!
