Details
Another old-time favorite with good winter field-holding abilities. Danish Ballhead produces well-protected, sizable blue-green 7-10 inch heads, each weighing between 5-10 pounds. The interior flesh is light green, mild, and tender. A real champion, it is a very dependable general-purpose cabbage for kraut, slaw, and cooking. It is considered to be one of the best cabbages for storage because of the tight heads. Bolt and split resistant. Also known as Amager Cabbage. Suitable for home gardens and market growers.
