Details
Also known as Spring Rapini. In Italy, it is known as Broccoli Asparago, where it is prized for being a culinary delight. Broccoli Raab doesn’t produce heads of broccoli, but is grown for its cluster of yellow buds. The tender stems, buds, and flowers have a wonderfully delicate slightly bitter/spicy/peppery broccoli flavor which can be enjoyed in salads, stir-fried, or steamed. This easy to grow vegetable is loaded with folic acid and vitamins. Budding shoots should be harvested just before the flowers open for best flavor.
