Catnip is a perennial addition to the herb garden. It produces green leaves and white flowers, making it ornamental as well as utilitarian. Gardeners often grow catnip for their feline companions, as the oil in the plants acts as a stimulant in cats. Catnip is also used in relaxing teas that aid in upset stomachs, nervous headaches, colds, and intestinal cramps in humans. Also attracts bees and butterflies. Welcome to our 2020 ‘Marketless’ Plant Start Sale! We understand how important food security is, so along with our large collection of seeds offered at www.GardenHoard.com, this year, we are selling our plant starts online as well! Normally, we bring these plant starts to May and June Farmers' Markets. We may not be able to attend Farmers' Markets until later in the year, so this is our solution to get plants to you!

We have developed a contactless pickup system for these plant starts. Mid-May through June we will be offering pickup at our farm, and possibly other designated locations around Ann Arbor or Metro Detroit. The system will involve you receiving a pickup email, you texting/communicating with us when you are on your way, and your order being available for safe, secure, contactless pickup.

While we will not be physically available to tell you about your amazing plants, we will be including extremely helpful instructions along with detailed information about the plants you chose! It will be just like talking to us at the Farmers' Markets, but without the crowds and health risks!

Simply make your plant selection by adding each plant you want to your shopping cart. When you check out, select "On-Farm Pickup". When the plants are available (beginning Mid-May), you will receive a pickup email with details on where to find your order! If you require a special delivery because of health concerns, or need to change your pickup date/time, please respond to your pickup email and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you order seeds with your plants, we will send those to you in the mail, prior to plant pickup day!
