Details

Also known as Lemon Bee Balm and Purple Horsemint. Used by Native Americans for medicinal and culinary purposes. Lemon Mint has a citrus smell when crushed, reminiscent of the fruit of the actual lemon plant. Citrus-flavored leaves make a refreshing tea or can be minced and added to fruit jellies. Beautiful purple flowers are irresistible to both bees and hummingbirds. Aromatic and colorful in fall. Grows quickly, blooms heavily, and dies with first frost.
